Ross Pearce
Ross is a dancer’s dancer whose innate sense of musicality, timing and flair for entertainment make him a joy to watch and a dream to dance with. His passion for music began as a child with piano lessons, grew through his middle and high school years with musical theater and show choir and eventually led him to the renowned dance program at Brigham Young University in Utah. It is there that he honed his dancing skills and teaching techniques in such areas as ballet, jazz, modern, and, of course, ballroom.
As an Amateur competitor throughout the nineties, he impressed the judges as a finalist in the US National American West Coast Swing and Cabaret divisions and was crowned the Western Regional Latin Champion in 1999. In 2001 he was a finalist in the US National Amateur American 9-Dance competition.
Ross turned Professional in 2001 and has continued to be an exciting presence on the circuit to this day, racking up 1st place wins and top 5 placements in Rhythm, Smooth, and Showdance. All this culminating in a 5th place standing in the highly competitive US National Professional American 9-Dance category in 2008.
Ross brings his passion for perfection to the classroom as an instructor of Latin, Rhythm, Smooth, Standard and Cabaret/Theater Arts. Whether you are a social beginner just learning the basics, or a Pro-Am competitor looking to hone your technique and performance skills, Ross’s care, quality of instruction and fifteen plus years of experience in the studio and on the competition floor are sure to impress.
